Vehicle Service and Repair Technician / Engineer - Oxford
Salary: Up to £32,000.00 per year
The Company
Our Client is established in the provision of wheelchair and accessible minibuses and other specialist vehicles to local authorities, charities and private operators.
The Role
An Engineer or Technician to carry out planned inspections, service, maintenance and mechanical repair to the fleet of vehicles at our workshops and customer premises. Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend vehicle breakdowns and where repair cannot be carried out, recover vehicle to an appropriate repair centre.
- Maintain out of hours cover for vehicle breakdowns, if and when required.
- Liaison with the other departments, customers and service suppliers.
- Take the lead on a new vehicle workshop operations in Oxford.
- Ensure all defect reports, service sheets and other associated documentation is completed correctly and returned to the office.
- Order parts and process workshop invoices and itemise re-chargeable items as required.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- D1 licence preferred (or willing to undertake training)
- Automotive qualified vehicle technician
- Light/medium commercial vehicles, 16 seat passenger vehicles
- Tail lift service, repair and LOLER experience would be an advantage.
- Comply with all instructions or site regulations in regard to health and safety
