A great opportunity for an experienced Upholstery Machinist to join the team at this West London Upholstery Company, who specialise in the very finest bespoke luxury upholstery and custom furniture. They work hand in hand with some of the world’s most renowned interior designers, spanning high end residential, commercial, hospitality and luxury sectors.

The Role:
They are seeking an experienced Upholstery Machinist, who will use their skills and experience to produce sewn covers in a fast-paced environment. Training and support will be given to ensure the candidate is equipped with appropriate skills to deliver the desired standard of finish. The work is at the top end of the market, so the candidate should be confident in their ability, and have a keen eye for detail. The ideal Upholstery Machinist candidate must be familiar with working on bespoke and luxury upholstered furniture.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience 5 years as an Upholstery Machinist
- Previous experience as an Upholstery Machinist is essential for this role
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards, with individual quality checks on all items.
- Have experience in working with different types of materials, including leather, velvets, and thick piles.
- Ability to use an industrial sewing machine and carry out all aspects of sewing and finishing, from start to finish.
- Be able to use walking foot flatbed machine.
- Be familiar with Twin-needle, top stitch, and over locking techniques.
- Ability to use piping cord where required.
- Ability to take a cut set of patterns and sew in full, to complete a cover.
- Must have experience of high end and luxury upholstered furniture, including finishes, including piping, top stitch, twin needlework, quilting etc.
- Maintain good housekeeping, with a safe and clean working environment, complying with company guidelines.
- Good eye for detail and understanding of good quality.
- Can do Attitude, and work well as part of a team.
