Trainee Sales Executive – Chelmsford

Salary: £20k 45hrs per week (training will be for 3-6 months then after successful completion you will become a Sales Exec on a sales exec salary and bonus scheme)

The Company

Our company are the UK’s largest of its kind, and number one independent 4 x 4 dealership who are seeking trainee Sales Executives to join their state of the art dealership.

The Role

This role will involve selling and promoting the sale of new and used vehicles whilst maintaining a positive customer experience and taking responsibility for the day to day maintenance and presentation of the showroom.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Always be prepared to receive and process new customer enquiries via telephone, walk-in and online chat
  • To achieve both new and use sales targets along with secondary accessory and financial service targets
  • To achieve a high level of customer satisfaction as reported in the monthly customer satisfaction analysis (CSI)
  • Negotiate and conclude all sales, completing paperwork and documentation
  • To guide and inform the customer whilst being able to give a competent and enthusiastic presentation of all of the vehicles within the product range
  • To maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of different cars, their features and characteristics such as engine size, mileage, fuel usability and colours, quick comparing and contrasting of different competitive models and examining cars

Essential Skills & Requirements:

A valid, clean driver’s licence;
A minimum of one year’s retail sales experience;
Professional appearance and attitude;
Willingness to learn;
Excellent persuasive verbal communication skills;
Time management skills and willingness to take the initiative;
Knowledge of automotive industry and technical aspects of vehicles and ownership ideal but not essential;
Good knowledge of financing and basic mathematics skills
