TIG Welder / Fabricator
Location: Hailsham, BN27
Salary: £30000 - £32000
Our client is looking for an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their busy manufacturing department. The candidate will work closely with Lead Technician to enable welding and fabrication objectives to be completed.
The roles & responsibilities:
- Complete projects in accordance with planned schedules aligning fabrication and welding workload with machine shop operations.
- Quality Control evaluations.
- Set up and running of leak checking operations using mass spectrometry equipment, (helium leak detectors) on all chamber vessels.
- To ensure all TIG Welding projects are completed in conformance with specifications and set time scales.
- Fabrication and welding of vacuum chambers, components and sub assemblies as required in line with planned manufacturing operations to defined quality standards and timescales.
What we are looking for/ skills, experience and qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience in TIG welding
- TIG Welding (Ideally working with Mu-Metal and Stainless Steel)
- Established skillset in metal fabrication and wedling including the use of precision measuring equiment
- Able to read specified drawings
- Comfortable working to deadlines set by lead technician
- Basic knowledge of turning would be an advantage
