Sous/Pastry Chef – Lake District

Salary: £28-£30K 45 hours plus benefits

The Company:

Our client has 7 family owned and run hotels in lakeside and town centre locations.  They are a distinctive collection of seven award winning hotels and are recognised for the warmth of their welcome, unrivalled personal attention and excellent service.

The Role:

They are currently looking for a solid experienced pastry or sous chef that has experience with a fine dining at least 1 AA rosette awarded establishment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You will have experience in a similar role to be able to perform the required responsibilities and have a background ideally in luxury hotel settings.

For the pastry chef, you will be additionally required to:

  • Ensure quality throughout the dessert service, supervise, and coordinate all bread, pastry, dessert preparation and presentation. 
  • You will need to create seasonal dessert dishes to enhance and complement the menus. 
  • You will undergo kitchen management including stock control, HACCP and general office duties
  • Ensure high standards are maintained in the quality of food, ingredients and commodities in all areas throughout the kitchen in readiness for cooking
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are adhered to

  • Experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel setting
