SOLIDWORKS Design Engineer – Adlington, Cheshire
Salary: £25,000 per annum

The Role
You will report directly to the Senior Design Engineer, with a link to the Operations Director.
Role Responsibilities:
As part of your role, you are expected to:
- Help develop the CAD/Design department in process efficiency, first time drawing accuracy, priority scheduling, best practice development and continuous improvement.
- Ensure an efficient flow of work is maintained within the design team
- Support the sales teams in the creation of general arrangement (GA) drawings required during the quotation and order validation process.
- Support the operations team in the creation of detailed and accurate manufacturing drawings
- Assist in the creation of marketing material
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Excellent communicator, you are required to have sound knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD (specifically weldments, sheet metal and drawings) and be able to develop an idea from a customer’s sketch through to an appropriate and manufacturing product.
Experienced in a low-batch and high-variation manufacturing environment, your commercial awareness and solid understanding of the cost implications of design decisions are exceptional.
