The Client:

The Role:
As a Solicitor in the Private Client Department, you will work independently, managing caseload, aiding the department head, establishing efficiency scales, contributing to firm operations, and developing new income sources.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage individual caseload and oversee files during colleagues' absence.
- Ensure adherence to diary dates, uphold quality and professional standards.
- Develop new income sources and actively market and promote firm services.
- Stay updated on legal developments and maintain CPD requirements.
- Perform administrative tasks for file management, including client visits and instruction-taking.
- Engage in letter writing, will drafting, billing, and work in progress control.
- Implement risk management strategies and provide regular client updates.
- Contribute to the firm's online presence by producing website articles on legal issues.
- Utilise social media for effective firm promotion and actively participate in trade shows and events.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Solicitor, Lawyer, Legal Executive or in a similar role.
- Practising certificate.
- Wills, probate, and Lasting Powers of Attorney experience.
- Client interaction and bill drafting experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- SRA Code of Conduct and Accounts Rules knowledge.
- Court of Protection and Tax/Trust matters (desirable).
- STEP qualification (desirable).
- Administrative, typing, and interviewing skills.
