Senior Interior Designer/Manager - Cookstown

The Company

Our leading interior design department store consisting of 3 branches across the province are looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer/Manager to join their Head office in Cookstown.

The Role

This role will be managing a small team selling home furnishings to customers both in store and in their homes.  Working with fabrics and design houses such as Harlequin, Romo and Zoffany.  You will be working out curtain measurements, selling carpets, upholstery and curtains.  You will need to provide excellent customer service and manage a small team of interior designers.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working out curtain measurement
  • Selling a wide range of furnishings in store and in customers’ homes
  • Managing a small team of interior designers
  • Dealing with fabrics and design houses
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Matching up and selling carpets, upholstery and curtains

Essential Skills & Requirements:

You will need a minimum of 3 years experience dealing with fabric books, fabric companies and providing interior design advice.  English and maths GCSE at grade C or above with excellent numeracy skills.  You should be proficient in Microsoft office and have experience in selling/measuring curtains and fabrics.  A strong flair for interior design, sales advisory and customer based experience with good communications kills is required.  You also need to have a valid drivers licence and a degree or equivalent plus experience managing a team is desirable.
