In this role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and you will work closely with all Engineering teams and Senior Executives.
Your job is to identify areas where the companys business can increase its footprint with customers, partnerships, opportunities to open up new markets, and methods to enhance efficiency within the organization’s BD department. You will actively participate in developing the Business Development & Sales strategy of the company.
Your objective is to build and execute a plan leading to doing business with customers and generating revenues on par with the financial targets. You will aim to consistently exceed goals through self-motivation and solution-driven approaches.
Analyse and understand the companys capabilities and products, and existing approaches to the development of business.
Implement new business initiatives across the business development and sales teams.
Devise strategies for driving sales growth across the business / Identify sales opportunities as a result of market changes and through direct prospecting leveraging your own and the firm’s networks and relationships.
Analyse the companys key markets to identify target partners.
Develop and maintain relationships with the companys partners and other third parties to increase opportunities.
Quickly develop subject matter expertise on the companys products and industry best practices to provide actionable recommendations to prospects.
Establish and execute a plan to sell the company’s products and solutions.
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the various internal teams.
Think very thoroughly about each customer's business and operating models to be able to suggest bigger business and collaboration opportunities.
Sales process management:
Manage sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation, and closing.
Document daily activities, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage the pipeline and perform tasks necessary to drive sales revenue and communicate activities to top management.
Negotiate sales contracts with customers and ensure their adherence to the company’s KPIs.
Define programs to maximize net sales revenue across both new sales and add-on and upsell.
Potential to recruit, manage, and coach a growing team.
Foster excellence in performance and revenue generation. Set ambitious but achievable revenue targets.
Marketingand Client Success:
Leverage existing relationships in order to create new direct sales opportunities for the company
Work on the marketing materials and tools to support the business.
Monitor customer satisfaction with existing clients to ensure service delivery and continuously spot and plan for new opportunities with current customers.
Represent the company in various industry events, conferences and associations Articulate the value of the companys products and services in a compelling manner to partners in various industries and to various external audiences.
7+ years of successful business development and B2B sales experience.
Adheres to highest standards of ethics, collaboration and teamwork
Proven track record of generating new business and achieving tangible revenues and revenue growth in a solutions business.
Technical and analytical skills: ability to understand and formalise complex problems.
Minimum understanding of AI techniques is required.
Ambitious, organised and target-focussed with a drive to succeed.
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to interface with internal and external senior executives
Broad cross-industry knowledge.
