Semi Senior Accountant (Accountancy Practice)

The Client:
Our client is a well-established and respected accountancy firm, serving a diverse clientele across the East of England. They specialise in accountancy, business development advice, and tax compliance and planning.
The Role:
They are looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in preparing management accounts, assisting in various accounting functions and client interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Audit & Accounts Manager.
- Compiling year-end financial statements for sole proprietors, partnerships, and Limited companies across diverse industry sectors.
- Handle VAT returns efficiently.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and offer timely assistance.
- Assist in statutory audits and on-site client visits.
- Mentor and support trainee team members.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- AAT qualification and practical accounting experience.
- Utilise cloud accounting tools like QuickBooks and Xero.
They will also consider candidates who are keen to pursue ACA / ACCA qualification.
