Location: Taunton, Somerset, TA1

We are seeking an experienced Sample Machinist with excellent sewing skills, and extensive garment construction knowledge, to join the friendly and creative team at this bespoke bridal design house based in the picturesque town of Taunton in Somerset. They create award-winning and highly acclaimed bridal gowns, that attract clients from across the globe. Alongside multiple awards, including three times Best British Bridal wear Designer, the company has also hit the spotlight for dressingA-list celebrities and royalty alike.

The Role:    

• Produce first samples with high finishing techniques and skills
• Work closely with the design team, pattern cutters and workroom manager to maintain sampling standards
• Advise the pattern cutters of potential construction problems
• Knowledge of how to use luxury fabrics, specifically Chiffon, Double Satin, Crepe, Lace and Silk Satin
• You will have extensive garment construction knowledge
• Minimum 4years experience working with bridal wear or a high-end luxury womenswear product
• Be able to work a garment through from start to finish
• Ensure all products are made to the highest quality at all times
