Salary – £25k - £30k + Company Car + Phone + Laptop + Pension
Our client are a highly successful company who supply the Hydraulics industry with high quality and reliable hydraulic machines. The company have became the sole UK distributor of Techmaflex swaging machines and equipment.
They offer one of the largest and most diverse ranges of hose assembly equipment anywhere in the country for a number of leading and well-known brands. This highly successful company supply to Hydraulics, Offshore, Automotive, High Pressure and Agriculture industries, along with their range of 12 volt mobile workshop equipment.
They can service and repair all types and makes of equipment onsite and in-house and are proficient in supplying most standard machines and spares ex-stock for immediate delivery.
With 30 years under the company's belt, they have developed a wealth of knowledge about the products and industries they serve, with the ability to adapt to the ever-changing demands their customers require. They hold a dedicated, proactive team and are highly skilled engineers are all expertly trained by their suppliers to ensure their customers receive the best advice and products that best meet their needs.
Our clients growing business is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Representative to join their hardworking friendly team. They are looking for a professional, who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge, to support the current sales team. The role is initially office based but will progress to include field work, so a full driving licence is essential. A company vehicle will be provided, when necessary. This role is ideal for someone keen to develop and progress in a sales environment, both through traditional and ecommerce sales channels. You will be required to research target markets, establish, and build strong relationships, generate leads, and close sales enquiries to meet agreed targets.
Product and sales training will be given. However, a knowledge of the hydraulics hose industry is desirable, although other industrial sales experience will be considered.
Main Duties and responsibilities
Promote the companys products and services to the hydraulic market.
Phone/email/e-chat, to answer sales enquiries, follow up leads and complete paperwork
Assist customers with queries, explain products to customers, advise as necessary
Travel to meet potential customers.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
Resolve customer complaints and help improve customer satisfaction
Analyse the competition, identifying opportunities and threats
Keep the customer relationship management database up to date.
Work towards sales targets
Manage own time, emails, visits, and workload
Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines and Risk Assessments.
Work as a team with other staff members when required
Attend and represent the company at industry shows and exhibitions.
Required knowledge and experience
Full Driving Licence
Knowledge and experience of working with in the hydraulic hose industry.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Computer skills – Excel, word, office
Problem solving skills.
