Rural Surveyor – County Durham

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 PA dependent on experience

The Company

Our Client an established chartered surveyors since the late 1900s, have established a record of delivering excellent customer service to clients covering County Durham, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and Northumberland.

Backed by a team of surveyors, negotiators and office staff our client provide expert advice on property, agriculture and valuation.

The Role

This is a really interesting and varied role which would suit an ambitious surveyor who is happy working autonomously with the assistance of a small and friendly office based team. Your role will be varied day to day but the majority of work will either be based within agricultural projects or on surveys and valuations.

There is scope for career development, progression and an opportunity to be involved with the development of the business long term. Our client has a track record for developing surveyors within the business.

You will be given an existing workload and portfolio to work with, however you will be expected to attract, maintain and develop new relationships with existing and potential new clients.

This role is a Monday to Friday position, with a start date of ASAP.

Role Responsibilities:

Advising clients on a large range of Land and Property related matters including;

  • Surveys & Valuations,
  • Planning,
  • Development Issues,
  • Farming,
  • Compensation Claims,
  • Tenancy Agreements,
  • Succession Planning,
  • BPS,
  • Grant Schemes and Estate Management.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • MRICS – Essential
  • FAAV  - Desirable
  • At Least 1 years of PQE (Post qualification experience) in a similar role – Desirable
  • Good Communication Skills (face to face and over the phone) – Essential
  • Good IT Skills – Essential
  • Full Drivers licence and access to your own car – Essential
