Project Architect/Technician – Northampton

Our client is a service led architectural practice with over five decades of experience in both the public and private sectors. The practice is led by three Partners, supported by three Directors, each with specialised roles. The Partners personally lead design teams and impart this team ethos to the whole construction process.
The company are active in a number of sectors, with activity split across Logistics, Education, Leisure, Office and Industrial developments.
This wide mix of client, building and procurement types ensures business stability and enables the company to bring fresh perspectives to each project. The medium size ensures personal service and attention to client needs, whilst also ensuring that they keep abreast of current procurement practice by embracing BIM.
Project sizes range from £100,000 to £100 million and they pride themselves on completing the projects on time and on budget.
The highly successful arcitects are seeking to appoint an Architect / Technician with either a proven track record in running their own projects or a desire and commitment to develop into this role. Due to the wide range of projects in multiple sectors including logistics, education, leisure, offices and public projects, experience in these sectors would be an advantage.
The company are a very productive practice with 31 architects, technicians and support staff, located in a quiet village on the edge of Northampton in a countryside setting and 5 minutes from the M1. They have continued to grow during the Covid-19 Pandemic with numerous secured contracts so they are looking for someone to bring their knowledge, experience and commitment to join the team.
The majority of their staff are working remotely in line with government guidelines and the company will support their staff in their working arrangements during this difficult time. The company look forward to welcoming our staff back to their office as soon as possible and recreating the vibrant working environment that existed before the pandemic.
Our client provide a varied workload, and a degree of autonomy to lead a project from inception to completion. Salary and benefits will be dependent on experience but will reflect the skillsets required to fulfil the role and there is opportunity for career progression within the practice.Previous Knowledge and Experience

Managing projects from inception to completion
Leading other members of staff within their team
Project running capabilities
Within an easy commute to the practice would be preferred

Be able to work to tight deadlines
Experienced in using Revit and AutoCAD
Practical hands on design experience is essential as you will be responsible for preparing drawings
