Surface chemistry strategies for immobilisation of proteins and nucleic acids to surfaces.

Additional experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly desirable:

Statistical analysis methods, including use of MiniTab.

Methods for characterizing ligand-protein interactions (binding kinetics, binding affinity).

Automation of the assay workflow.

Surface functionalisation, purification and characterisation of nanoparticles.

Fluorescence-based biochemical techniques (e.g. microarray, cell labelling, gel electrophoresis, flow cytometry).

Programming for automation of data analysis.

In addition, the following personal attributes are required:

Strong organisational skills, good time management and attention to detail.

Strong communication and influencing skills across scientific disciplines.
