The Role:

They are seeking a PHP / Frontend Web Developer with Proficiency in front-end to join their team. You will engage with existing websites, along with bespoke Laravel and WordPress ventures. If you're aiming for a more senior role, you'll also have the chance to actively contribute to their in-house template and framework. The candidate should live within commutable distance from Burgess Hill.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on maintaining/refreshing current client websites.
• Create frontend templates using established boilerplate.
• Develop and deploy new WordPress/Magento 2 installations.
• Contribute to enhancing existing web apps through Laravel/PHP.
• Stay updated on emerging tools to foster developer growth.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience in PHP & Frontend development
• Strong command of PHP and adeptness in MySQL
• Experienced in creating and integrating WordPress themes
• Proficiency in crafting responsive frontends (HTML/SCSS/LESS)
• Experience working with APIs (JSON REST)
• Familiarity with JavaScript and Git

Desirable Skills:

• Laravel (PHP Framework)
• Magento 2 expertise
• Linux (Debian) command line navigation
• Adobe CC proficiency (Illustrator/Photoshop)
