Our client is a well-established legal firm, providing a wide range of legal advice and services to individuals and businesses.
As a Paralegal in a private client or family law department, you will be collaborating with legal experts, executing diverse tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of a law office or legal department.
- Attend to clients, receiving instructions, and preparing cases.
- Conduct in-depth legal research using diverse resources such as legal databases, statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Summarise findings, presenting information to bolster case preparation.
- Support in crafting and refining legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
- Review and scrutinise legal documents to ensure precision and adherence to legal procedures.
- Organise and uphold legal files, documents, and correspondence for convenient retrieval.
- Coordinate and arrange meetings, hearings, and depositions.
- Aid in preparing clients for meetings, hearings, and court appearances.
- Manage schedules, arrange appointments, and coordinate travel plans for attorneys.
- Prepare and submit legal documents to courts, agencies, and pertinent entities.
- Previously worked as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of experience in a private client / family law.
- Possess law degree or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Skilled in legal research and use of legal databases, legal software & office productivity tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
