Salary: Up to £30k Depending on Experience - Plus a Generous Benefits Package

Our client provides essential support services, software and data that enable professional financial advisers, financial intermediaries and product providers to deliver better outcomes for their customers. Formed in the early 2000’s they are the UK's largest provider of outsourced regulatory and business support to financial advisers.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic and organised individual to join an AIM listed company based in Yorkshire on a 6-month FTC.
Reporting to the Company Secretary, this exciting role offers a broad range of paralegal and
company secretarial tasks, in a fast-paced environment.
This role is a great oppourtunity for an individual eager to pursue a legal [or company secretarial] career, with a strong work ethic. This is a 'hands on' role that requires a versatile individual with the
ability to multi-task in a highly organised and fast paced team working to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Completing contract administration work including filing, enquiry handling and drafting of non-disclosure and other pro-forma legal agreements
Assisting the Company Secretary and Legal Counsel with matter management and planning
Assist the Company Secretary in all day-to-day company secretarial matters such as scheduling of board and committee meetings, preparation of agendas, provision of board and committee packs, taking of minutes, following-up the completion of matters arising in a timely manner
Overseeing the maintenance of the legal data base and corporate books and records
Managing and responding to incoming and outgoing email and postal correspondence as and when required.
Experience and qualifications:
Minimum 12 months experience working in a similar role
Technical and practical understanding of corporate and contract law
Competent on Microsoft Word and Outlook
Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced organisation, often working across virtual teams - as such, stakeholder management and clear communication is essential
Self-starter - able to work independently and pro-actively but able to seek help from the Company Secretary when needed
Good attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse files and data
The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Office administrative skills for tasks such as filing, typing and letter writing
A flexible and adaptable approach to your work
Professionalism when working with colleagues, senior management and clients
Ideally you will have either a Law degree and/ or CILEX qualifications
Company secretarial qualification desirable but not mandatory
Package
In return, our client can offer a salary of up to £30k (depending on skills and experience) together with a great opportunity to join a leading organisation.
Due to COVID-19 our client’s team are currently working remotely however this role will be based at their offices in Huddersfield when circumstances allow. They have a flexible approach to work and are happy to discuss this at interview stage.
