Nursing Manager - Veterinary
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Salary: £44,880 + Excellent Benefits
The Client:

The Role:
As a Nursing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing nursing staff recruitment and induction, and optimising clinical team coordination to ensure efficient patient workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold professional responsibilities regarding animals, clients, the profession, the veterinary team, the RCVS, and the public.
- Manage nursing staff rota and annual leave.
- Accommodate individual employee absence and review overtime.
- Conduct individual staff meetings, probation meetings, and performance reviews.
- Drive RCVS Practice Standards Scheme accreditation.
- Participate in the Operational Management Team (OMT).
- Manage health and safety and equipment maintenance.
- Attend management meetings and communicate outcomes and actions.
- Manage performance-related issues, investigation reports, and grievance and disciplinary resolutions.
- Assist clinical team across hospital areas.
- Provide clinical training and mentoring.
- Liaise with emergency intern and assist in emergency referrals triage.
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety At Work Act (1974).
- Manage Health and Safety throughout the hospital, conduct inspections, and provide reports.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Nursing Manager or in a similar role.
- Experience in team management and leadership roles.
- Veterinary Nurse accredited qualification and RCVS registration
- Referral setting experience, clinical problem-solving skills, team management, and SOP implementation.
- Comprehensive understanding of veterinary nursing, advanced care, health and safety management, and oncology cases.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Right to work in UK
