Nursery/Childcare Practitioners – Tunbridge Wells, Kent 

Salary: £8.91 - £11.50 an hour  

Multiple Roles - Permanent - Full time & Part Time

The Role  

Multiple roles for Childcare Practitioners are available to work in various rooms (age group specific) on a full time (40 hours per week) or part-time (30 hours per week) basis. 

Key Role Responsibilities:  

  • Complete observations on your Key Children and plan appropriate next steps 

  • Follow the Key Person procedure 

  • Provide stimulating activities that extend the children’s learning and meets the needs of all children by being inclusive to all, both indoors and outdoors 

  • Complete training as directed by the childcare manager and keep up to date with changes in childcare, policies and practice.  Be responsible for self -development. 

  • Work as part of the staff team and ensure a consistent approach throughout the project 

  • Plan the children’s activities weekly, indoors and outdoors, with the aim to provide them with the best possible learning and development activities and engagement (keeping within our clients restraints) 

  • To ensure that all learning journals are of a high standard and are continuously kept up to date. 

  • Attend staff and area meetings 

  • Regularly ensure the health and safety of all children and immediately report any hazards  

  • Use reflection tools such as wellbeing and involvement scales to improve the care offered and make room changes as necessary. 

Essential Skills & Requirements:  

  • Relevant Level 3 or above qualification with suitable experience 

  • Enhanced DBS is required (paid for by our client) 

  • You will be keen for self-development
