Mechanical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a prominent consultancy, specialising in rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling and water management services. This role offers excellent benefits, remote working options and salary range of £30,000 - £35,000. 

As a Design Engineer, you will develop sales designs, feasibility proposals, and technical specifications for water reclamation systems, with a focus on rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling.

Ideally, the candidate would be based in Central London.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage design tasks from feasibility to detailed design and tender, ensuring alignment with company policies.
• Prepare and deliver quotations for tender and design inquiries.
• Review contract terms, embedding company requirements in tender submissions.
• Create and update AutoCAD schematics, demarcation drawings, and basic 3D Revit models.
• Develop and enhance water reuse system designs, integrating new technologies.

What we are looking for:

• Previously worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, Water Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience in an engineering environment 
• Strong understanding of the design and construction processes.
• Ideally hold Diploma / Degree or equivalent qualification engineering.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit would be beneficial.
• Capable in interpreting mechanical and drainage drawings.
