The Company:

Our client’s company is a forward-thinking and rapidly growing rural estate business. Due to the ambitious diversification plans for the estate, a new opportunity has arisen for a Land & Property Manager to primarily oversee the management of the diverse let residential, commercial, and agricultural assets. In addition, the candidate will work closely with key stakeholders in other areas of the business and externally with regards to various land and property matters.

The candidate’s role and responsibilities will be:

  • To oversee the management and enhancement of the estate’s let portfolios, including lease negotiations, maintenance and improvement programs, contractor management, legal compliance, and financial performance.
  • To assist in the management and administration of access requests, minor events, and other permissions.
  • To assist with various other matters in relation to the estates land and property holdings, for example, woodland management, mapping, ecological and carbon audits, wayleaves and easements, and tree health and safety.
  • To assist the Estate Manager in the identification, coordination, and operation of strategic projects.
  • To represent the estate to external stakeholders, often being the first point of contact in matters relating to land and property.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Newly qualified MRICS or working towards this with experience in the rural sector. FAAV is preferable, but not essential.
  • A strategic thinker with knowledge of residential, commercial, and agricultural tenancies.
  • To be able to identify and co-ordinate tasks and work independently with minimum supervision when required, often balancing multiple priorities.
  • A resourceful, energetic, and reliable team player, who is hands on and with good attention to detail.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car for business purposes.
  • The role is full time however a part-time position would be considered.
