Jnr/Mid .NET Web Developer (Agile) – Manchester
My client, an Insurance risk and commercial law specialist are looking for a .Net Developer to be part of a development team in support of the ongoing development of the firms ASP .Net case management systems, web applications and reporting software.
You will be working to develop, integrate, release, test and implement software solutions, ensuring they are user-friendly, extremely reliable and meet the needs of the firm.
Development and Support of web-based applications
Providing time estimates for scoped development requirements breaking user stories down into technical implementation tasks.
Experience of working in an Agile environment and implementing TDD with experience using automated unit and integration test tools and frameworks.
Experience and understanding of the release management cycle and code management using tools such as Octopus and Git.
Liaising effectively with other staff in the IT department: developers, trainers, support staff, and DBA
Providing technical and 2nd line support advice to the IT support staff relating to finished releases.
Adhering to development team standards, procedures and required working practices.
Keeping user and technical documentation relating to solutions development fully up to date
Ensuring development code is commented and applications are written to industry standard and Clean coding best practice
Key Skills Required:
Experienced self-motivated full stack .Net Web developer.
.Net C#, Java Script, AngularJS with Routes and UI elements, HTML, CSS, Typescript, Entity Framework, JQuery, SQL Server, TSQL and SSMS
Visual Studio, TFS, Git / Mercurial HG, Octopus, Gulp, Browserify, and Bootstrap
SASS or LESS
Good understanding of Web UI and UX design principles.
Experience with Agile development methodologies particularly Scrum, XP and Kanban
TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, DevOps,
Previous experience of a reporting tool such as Business Objects or SSRS
