Full Stack Senior PHP Web Developer
Location – Blackburn BB1 8DD
Salary: £40,000-£60,000 + Excellent benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Web Developer to join a growing IT Team of an award-winning law firm. This is a full-time role working 36.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, based at the Blackburn Office with the option for hybrid working available.
The ideal candidate will be a senior developer who has strong technical experience working with and creating large-scale web/e-commerce applications and leading and building a development team as well. This is a hands-on Senior PHP Web Developer / Management role
Previous Legal or Retail e-commerce experience is desirable but not essential.
Job Title Duties
- All Web Development from concept to delivery
- Provide technical support and perform root cause analysis for all Website / Intranet systems, responding within specified SLAs.
- Troubleshooting, testing and maintaining all existing Web developments
- Solving complex performance problems and technical architectural challenges
- Overseeing the development function
- Planning and delivering development schedule to agreed timelines
- Mentor, support, and management of the development team
- Ability to multitask across different projects
- To manage your personal time to ensure that agreed workloads are completed
- satisfactorily and to target
- To carry out other tasks as assigned by the IT Director
The ideal candidate will have:
- PHP – advanced
- PHP framework experience (Laravel)
- Object Oriented Programming
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript (jQuery/Ajax/JSON)
- Creation and use of RESTful API’s
- SQL Scripts, Views, Stored Procedures and Functions
- Building scalable websites and applications from concept to delivery in a secure and efficient manor
- Responsive web design
- Designing and building Web Applications that are secure, stable, scalable, fast and reliable
- Excellent knowledge of Azure DevOps and working with a version control system such as Git
- Knowledge/experience of Moodle, Drupal, WordPress, mobile app development, .NET, Python, and C# would be beneficial.
