Full Stack Developer – Stockport
Salary – £25k - £40k (Depends on candidate experience) + Remote + Part time
The client is a small company consisting of a few team members making big waves in the tech space. Whether creating a project from scratch or simply adding to an existing application the client’s custom software developers can make anything a reality for a start-up company or small business. Years of industry experience has made them the perfect fit to bring software and application ideas to life.
The Client is in a fortunate position to have a great customers that wish to work provide further work. Problem being, they can’t give clients enough time whilst also keeping a healthy work-life balance. So, they are looking for somebody to join they’re small team & take up some of the task load.
You’ll spend your time initially working on their 2 existing projects, being an active and visible member of the team as they communicate (as a team) frequently with the clients. From these communications they’ll together come up with a list of priorities which you’ll take ownership of and tackle.
Some examples of these tasks include
Adding a “Quality Assessment/QA Tracker” functionality to enable managers to approve & track progress.
Adding a login area for customers who have purchased broadband with our client to login & manage their order
Automating existing manual tasks - e.g Fetching a list of appointments from an external API & detecting changes
Updating the existing design to show off special products.
Creating a new web app for engineers to view, attend & then mark as complete their booked installations.
…As well as:
Communicating directly with the clients on voice & video calls to determine what features that they wish to implement will be able to provide their estimates relative effort to implement (Usually with the whole team present).
Debugging & Resolving issues on the live systems.
Continually improving code written by yourself and others on the project.
TailwindCss w/ some legacy bootstrap.
Deployments are managed via Forge & Envoyer.
You do NOT need to be familiar with either Laravel or Vue js, to apply for this role especially if you know similar frameworks e.g Symfony or React well.
Desired, but not essential:
You’ll not be expected to be a devops expert but knowing your way around a ssh terminal will come in handy.
Monday to Friday
21 Hours Part time Remote
4.2 hours per day
This is a fully remote, part-time (21 hours per week) position, The client strongly believes in order to work as our most effective team they need to share the working hours, for that reason the working hours will be roughly 9am - 1:12PM, flexible so if you need to do 9:30am - 12PM then catch up on the rest later that’s cool. But eveyone should be working together for a large chunk of the working hours.
The salary for this part-time role is £25,000 - £40,000 based on experience (full-time equivalent would be £40-£70k). The position includes 28days of paid time off + bank holidays.
The client will buy you any equipment you need to do your best work, including a computer, external display, office chair — whatever you need. If you need to rent a desk at a co-working space, they’jj pay for that as well.
