Fire Protection Engineer – Manchester / Leeds
Salary – £33,500 + Business & Private use of Company vehicle + Phone & Laptop + Pension

From a project managed turn-key installation to servicing and maintenance, they will tailor services to the customers exact requirements. With a broad experience in all fire protection and life safety technologies, they will establish the most suitable solution for customer needs.
The client is an active and established Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) fire engineering company since 1989. We Design, Install, Manufacture, Commission & Maintain:
Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
Fixed Fire Extinguishing Systems
Portable Fire Extinguishers
Fire Sprinkler Systems
Their current client base is diverse and includes Car Manufacturing Plants, Airports, Data Centres, Care Homes, Small Retail Facilities for example. They carry third-party certification under LPS1048 (Sprinklers), LPS 1204 (Fixed Gas Suppression), BAFE SP203 (All modules Fire Detection), BAFE SP101 (Fire Extinguishers).
They are currently seeking Fire Protection Engineers who are converse with Fire Detection & Alarm Systems and Portable Fire Extinguishers service and small works repairs. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Maintenance & Repair of fire protection equipment in line with current standards and customer requirements.
Responding to demand service calls on all types of fire systems & equipment.
Participating in our on-call out rota.
Skills and Experience
A full UK Driving License.
A proven track record for stability within their career history
Good communication skills
From time to time, the willingness to travel / out of town to suit the needs of our customer base
BAFE certified on Portable Fire Extinguishers
Basic I.T skills
Sound engineering background with experience maintenance and repair of fire systems.
In date IPAF license
In date and Asbestos Awareness course
A clear Enhanced DBS check
