The Company:

Our well-established client is looking to appoint a full time Employment Secretary to join their team. Our client is a specialist firm of solicitors based in 4 different cities with over 199 years of experience in the provision of legal services.

The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced legal secretary with experience in property work. Working as part of a small but growing team, the candidate will provide professional legal secretarial support to 2 senior lawyers.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Opening files and completing standard documents
  • Dealing with compliance issues
  • Typing dictation
  • Invoicing
  • Scanning documents and keeping files up to date
  • Dealing with incoming post and scanning to matters
  • Managing diaries and arranging appointments
  • Managing emails
  • Support with printing documents and bundles
  • Closing files and general admin assistance for the team

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of SOS and other commonly used software
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Experience in a demanding, high performing professional services environment
  • Good time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • To be friendly, professional, and approachable at all times
  • Previous legal secretarial experience is essential and employment experience would be a great advantage
