Director Consulting Services (Testing Services) - Scotland / Remote
£110k + bonus + stock options
My client is building one of the largest independent technology and business services firms in the world, is looking for a Director Consulting Services (Testing Services) and this is your time to be part of something exciting - join the firm as they embark on a journey to grow their presence in the north of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
This role represents an opportunity to help shape and build their technical delivery centre and client base in Scotland within the firm as part of an ambitious plan of continued growth - supporting delivery, member and client engagement in a new engagement area.
The role can be based anywhere in Scotland with a hybrid blend of remote working coupled with client site visits/working as required.
They work with a number of clients who require security clearance therefore should hold UK Security Clearances or be eligible for vetting status.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Director within one of our business practices you will be a leader with a primary goal of driving business growth across the North of Scotland and Northern Ireland. You’ll also be accountable for the delivery quality of firms testing services and the associated P&L.
As well as shaping the business, the successful candidate will aid capability build-out by supporting recruitment of new members and engaging with customers.
Their Test Practise has a lead Director who will set the plan and operation for technical training and delivery- this role works alongside this Director and one other.
A key component will be developing and maintaining proactive client development strategies, leading a team to achieve targeted revenue and profitability and ensuring that sales pipeline and financial forecasts are up to date and accurate.
You will further look to establish and build relationships and work to gain a thorough understanding of the clients’ business and the markets they operate in, seeking out and identifying new opportunities for the firm.
This could include responding to RFIs/RFPs - ensuring at all times that firms USP’s are brought to life in a manner that both excites and delights. Your excellent leadership skills will also be brought to bear in the management of the team where you will be responsible for fostering the development of the team’s capabilities and expertise in line with market evolution.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We’re looking for a demonstrable track record in the sale and delivery of Systems Integration and Consulting projects. All candidates must offer in-depth knowledge of the IT consulting environment and offer a proactive, “can do” attitude.
Other competencies in business development, project/ programme management, account management and/or IT operational & delivery management are highly sought.
Capabilities of particular interest include open source products, applications development and maintenance, Systems Integration, Cyber, big data and more.
From a growth perspective, the achievement of significant growth within the North of Scotland and Northern Ireland is key, an individual strong on networking, prospecting and lead/pipeline generation. The Director should be able to deal at C-suite level in client organisations and adept at creating client development plans.
Finally a good handle on financial management (P&L, forecasting, budgeting), contractual negotiations, delivery and team leading are also important.
