Care Manager - Maidstone

Salary: Dependent on Experience    

Hours: Full time – Monday – Friday – cover on-call rota

The Company:

My client are an experienced national homecare provider, delivering the highest quality care and leading the field in customer service. They are now looking to appoint an experienced care coordinator. To ensure that all customers receive excellent quality of care and support to keep them both safe and comfortable in their own homes. You will have a supportive and calm manner with excellent organisational and communication skills.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing the team of carers to ensuring they provide high quality homecare services to enable customers to enjoy the best quality of life and remain as independent as possible within their own homes.

Role responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures.
  • Undertake training and development to keep up to date with the law, best practice, and changes in company policy. Whilst applying this knowledge to day-to-day management and delivery of care.
  • Understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field. Act as lead for infection prevention and control.
  • Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements
  • Promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support
  • Prior to each service commencing make sure a full assessment of each customer’s needs and associated risks is carried out.
  • Keep all information about customers, their representatives and families secure and confidential
  • Ensure there are enough suitably qualified staff allocated appropriately to meet service always needs. Implement company policy and procedures in relation to managing absence, disciplinary, capability and grievance matters
  • Effectively manage complaints and incidents. Carry out investigations relating to the quality of the service and use findings to make improvements.
  • All emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively, such as covering calls either directly or indirectly when care assistants are sick or absent.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Full and Valid UK driving licence
  • Access to a car
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • 1 year care management experience
  • 1 year in care industry
