The client is a market-leading provider of websites, intranets, secure portals, and online digital solutions. Proud to have built a reputation for providing creative solutions on scalable, future-proofed software, and providing first class on-going support.
They deliver a massive range of high quality designs and builds across multiple sectors and multiple products This includes portals, intranets, websites, micro-sites, online collaboration solutions and complex business process workflows. And they ship them all on their own market-leading, enterprise-level, Open Standards-based content management, collaboration and integration software platforms.
As such their designs and implementations need to be robust, simplifying complex content, and focused on delivering the best user experiences possible whilst staying true to their customer's brand values The solutions that they build provide the digital shop windows for their customers - and the implementation code needs to be both functional and elegant.
The client has an established user base of 120 customers with 250+ solutions, running on a high-availability Azure environment. They need talented, dedicated, and entrepreneurial technical engineers to:
Deploy installations of client CMS;
Provide technical (second-line) support of the systems;
Build and ship Customisations on our framework;
Undertake the development of new Modules and functionality-guided by our Senior Developer and Customer Solutions Architect.
Work on product releases, compiling all of the above bug fixes/modules and functionality and project customisations into new Version releases that are QA'd
Work with the infrastructure team to standardise and upgrade their customers with the product releases. Skills & Technologies:
The client has an ambitious on-going programme of product development, which is designed continuously to move our software platforms forward
Once you have proven yourself in providing the very best project support to their customers, you will have the chance to work on their next generation of products, on the next generation of technologies-such as Node.JS, React, Containers, micro-services, and more.
The client CMS is built on their own object-oriented MVC "Atlas" framework, running on Open Source technologies and hosted on Azure Although "Atlas" has been continuously developed, with their customers, since its 2012 release, it is a conceptually simple framework which follows established rules and processes.
As such, new starters will be given full training and up-skilling so that they can effectively deploy, support, and develop on the system.
An understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP);
An understanding of the Model / View / Controller (MVC) architecture;
An understanding of web service APIs;
An understanding of load-balanced server environments;
Good knowledge of web technologies, including web server software, e.g Linux OS, Apache;
Good knowledge of procedural application code, e.g PHP, CFML;
Good knowledge of database Structured Query Language, e.g MySQL;
Knowledge of Version Control, e.g Git.
The client would prefer candidates with 1-2 years of experience but will consider bright candidates looking for their first start.
Desired, but not essential:
• Experience with NoSQL databases, e.g MongoDB or Redis;
• Experience with Azure or AWS;
• Ability to write clean, semantic HTML5;
• Knowledge of Web Accessibility;
• Knowledge of code pipelines and continuous integration.
Flexible remote (up to 3 days p/w)
