THE COMPANY

Our client is an innovative healthcare agency working in the global development, international pharmaceuticals, and life sciences sectors, known for their long-established relationships with clients and expert delivery across a broad range of therapy areas. Due to sustained growth, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Account Manager and a Senior Account Manager to join their team and play a key role providing essential support in the development and execution across a range of projects from apps to desktop and mobile enabled web platforms and key accounts.

THE ROLE

The job holder will be responsible for leading a broad spectrum of clients’ projects and strategically owning and developing client relationships. Typically, this would include:

Taking client briefs, pro-actively suggesting solutions to the client and adding value

Defining the project, building the project quotation for internal and external services

Communicating clearly to the client what is being delivered and the associated costs

Oversight and support the production of project scopes, functional specifications, project timescales, risks, and assumptions, as well as the resource requirements for the successful completion of digital and scientific projects

You will have a commercial understanding of the requirement to deliver projects on time and on budget and experience of putting together project estimates

Ownership of project, monitoring and communicating schedule and any changes to client

Following up with client to find out how successful project was and encourage them to discuss future projects

The job holder will have a proven track record of sales and working to key account management principles together with good organisational skills

Supporting with and identifying potential new business opportunities for both new and existing clients

This position will suit a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual who is looking to progress their career in a challenging and stimulating work environment

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Relevant commercial experience and technical knowledge and skills within the Pharma and Healthcare Agency sector

Knowledge of industry and markets, in-depth know how about products and applications and excellent communication skills

Financial management including overseeing accurate budgetary and project tracking

The job holder will have experience of managing and supporting delivery across a range of projects from apps to desktop and mobile enabled web platforms

The ideal candidate will have a commercial understanding of the requirement to deliver projects on time and on budget and experience of putting together project estimates

EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar pharma, healthcare communications agency role

Commercially astute, technically strong, and insightful

Exceptional communication skills at all levels, with a good eye for detail

Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels

Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making

Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies

Energetic, highly motivated with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success

Have an existing client bank

Ability to develop, lead and deliver across a range of projects and therapy areas

Strong presentation skills

Creative problem-solving skills

Ability to deliver projects on time and to budget and across multiple teams

Experience of putting together and managing budgets

Resource allocation

Ability to lead and manage designated accounts teams

Excellent time management skills

Degree level education 

The role is full-time
